Berry Banana Beet Smoothie
This gorgeous smoothie is something I created when I had leftover roasted beets and was trying to think of something to make with them. I love creating recipes with beets - not only are they delicious, but they're a great source of folate, manganese and magnesium. This smoothie is not only tasty, but a sight for sore eyes during winter!
1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop protein powder (I used Kaizen Naturals - Vanilla Bean Flavour)
1/2 cup peeled and roasted red beets
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 fresh banana
Add all ingredients to blender, mix until smooth. You can always add more almond milk or water if you like a thinner smoothie consistency, and add more banana if you have more of a sweet tooth. Enjoy!
