Ginger Snap Smoothie
Another low-glycemic smoothie creation! This Ginger Snap Smoothie is so creamy and delicious, and is full of protein, fibre, healthy fats, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory ingredients. The low glycemic ingredients ensure you'll stay fuller longer, because your blood sugar won't spike and fall rapidly.
1 cup steamed cauliflower (easier to digest than frozen)
1 medium carrot (chopped)
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 to 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (depending on the smoothie consistency you like)
1 tbsp almond butter
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp ginger
Dash of black pepper (to help your body absorb the turmeric)
1 serving collagen (optional)
May add 1/4 to 1/3 of a banana for extra sweetness, but I honestly don't think you'll need it!
