This warming beverage is a new favourite of mine, especially on cold winter mornings and evenings. It's even replaced my beloved daily cup of orange pekoe tea! Golden milk has wonderful anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidizing properties, and is a lovely mix of spicy and sweet.
1.5 cups unsweetened coconut milk (light version - the full fat canned version is a bit much for this recipe)
1/4 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp ground ginger
Dash of black pepper (helps ensure the turmeric is well-absorbed by the body)
1 tsp coconut oil
1-1.5 tsp honey
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Whisk all ingredients except cinnamon together in a saucepan. Heat saucepan on stove - bring to a boil, then let simmer for 5-10 minutes. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and enjoy!
