Tropical Smoothie Bowl

In case you can't tell, I kind of have a thing for smoothie bowls. They're just so versatile, and I love the endless combination of ingredients that can be used in them! I call this the "Tropical Smoothie Bowl" as it calls for banana and kiwi.

Smoothie base ingredients:

1.5 cups frozen strawberries
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 small banana (fresh)
1 scoop vegan protein powder (I used Arbonne's vanilla protein mix)

Toppings:

1/2 small banana (fresh)
1/2 a small kiwi (fresh)
1.5 tbsp chia seeds
1.5 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
1 tbsp cacao nibs

Directions:

Blend smoothie base ingredients together (may need to mix ingredients around with a spoon in between blending. Pour into bowl, add toppings as desired. I especially love this smoothie bowl as it provides an excellent source of so many macronutrients and micronutrients (i.e. healthy fats, protein, iron, magnesium, potassium and fibre, to name a few).
